While we work out the rear-end and paint design (see my previous posts), I thought I'd share a bit about the exhaust with you all - I kind of forgot to post this!
As with my RnineT Café Racer Project, I sought out local craftsmen for this project. For the exhaust, I returned to Gert at Dominator Performance Parts in Tshwane. He built a lovely set of polished stainless steel slash pipes and used the standard mounting points, leaving the bike itself unmodified. The welds and handmade heat shields are all crafted with wonderful attention to detail.
In the picture below you also see the new seat installed, the Vintage Fastback seat in black, from the official BMW accessories catalogue. This will help me define how I want the rear to look.

And the sound? At last my R18 has a voice (thanks Gert) - wonderful! Click on the film below and crank up your volume (even better with good headphones)!
