As described in my previous post, the paint design was intended to reflect aircraft of an earlier era. This meant that it had to be done by hand, with air-brush artwork. The design was done by Brand Launch Solutions and the painting by Paintrikz.

The seat is the standard R18 seat and was re-trimmed to create a "Bomber jacket" look, which I combined with Top Gun patches - for me the R18 is BMW's "Top Gun". That's also why the custom number plate is "F18" and not "R18".

We replaced the standard "1800" engine plate with a customized name plate "Maverick". This was done by "Iconic Moto" in KZN.

And the exhaust was made by my favorite custom exhaust builder, Dominator Exhausts. It was then ceramic-coated in black by Powerkote, complete from the headers to the slip-on. It has so far has proven to handle the heat well (without discoloration or peeling) but I'll be keeping an eye on it (especially the headers) and report on it in a future blog.

.... and it sounds great...
